SIFH Global in Ukraine

SIFH Global in Ukraine

Since its founding days, Sisters in Fitness and Health has been diverse in its representation - a diversity that includes our Ukrainian sisters. At this critical time in world history, SIFH Global unequivocally stands with Ukraine.

Spring/Summer 2022

In Spring 2022 when Russia invaded Ukraine, SIFH Global heard the call for assistance and immediately mobilized our team and resources for a strategic and impactful response. In response to the landmine crisis in Ukraine, SIFH Global  partnered with Spearhead Foundation ( UK) to purchase and deliver much needed Vulcan mine probes, HAL kits, Vallon mine detectors and other equipment needed for Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Landmine Removal as well as repairs to vehicles used in civilan evacuations in Bakhmut and Soledar.

Fall 2022/Winter 2023

The landscape of urgent need shifted as temperatures dropped and winter arrived in Ukraine. Last winter we redirected our focus to procure and deliver portable kerosene heaters, insulating base layers, protective weather repellent outerwear and other winter survival gear for our brothers and sisters on the front lines and civilians stranded in war-affected areas without utilities.

Spring/Summer 2023

As the war continued to escalate, and Ukrainian military units prepared for a long-awaited counter-offensive, our Director of Global Projects arrived in Ukraine to deliver urgently needed CAT7 and junctional tourniquets, and other Stop The Bleed equipment directly to front line units, to assess the effectiveness of past work, and to plan for meaningful sustainable support going forward.

Fall/Winter 2024

In December, our Director of Global Initiatives will be making another delivery of urgently needed mine detectors, winter survival gear, tourniqets and CASEVAC vehicles to the frontline in Ukraine. Our research and data suggest that, in the Ukrainian context, these items are in shortest supply while having the greatest life-saving impacts.

Please also consider making a donation at this time. We are a registered 501c3 led and operated by volunteers, so 100% of your donation goes directly towards purchasing and shipping equipment directly to eastern Ukraine. On behalf of the brave men and women risking their lives for global democracy, we thank all our donors past present and future for enabling this critical phase of SIFH GLOBAL'S work.
